Start With the Room, Not Just the Unit
The fastest way to get an accurate quote is to tell us what the space is used for, how big it is, and where the unit will go. A bedroom in Sandton, a boardroom in Midrand, and a double-volume living room in Randburg all need different sizing and placement. If you send the wrong details, the price can be off and the installation may not cool properly in summer or may struggle on hotter days when the power is unstable.
Please include the room size in metres, the ceiling height, how much sun the room gets, and whether the building is a flat, townhouse, office or freestanding home. If there are more than one room, list each one separately so we can price correctly for each area.
- Room length and width in metres
- Ceiling height, especially if it is higher than standard
- Type of room, such as bedroom, office or open-plan lounge
- Any large windows, west-facing glass, or direct afternoon sun
- Your suburb or town for supply and installation planning
Photos Help Us See the Real Job
Photos save time and help us understand the site before we give pricing. A clear photo of the wall where the indoor unit may go, the outdoor area, the distribution board and any narrow passages or stairs is usually enough to start. If the building is in an estate, complex or office park, photos also help us check access rules and loading areas.
If you are asking about a replacement, send the current unit, the old pipe route and the outdoor bracket or slab. If you want a relocation, show where the unit is now and where you want it moved to. That way we can work out the labour, extra piping and any patching required.
- Wall space inside the room
- Outdoor area for the condenser or heat pump
- Existing electrical point or DB board nearby
- Any roof, balcony or boundary wall restrictions
- Photos of the current unit if it is a replacement or move
Tell Us What You Need Quoted
We quote for supply-and-fit aircons, inverter aircons, solar aircons, heat pumps and atmospheric water generators. If you are only after supply, say so. If you need the full job, include installation, commissioning and any extras like trunking, pipe extensions or a new isolator. That gives you one clear figure instead of a vague estimate.
For homes, people often ask about one bedroom unit, a lounge unit or a whole-house solution. For offices, it can be a reception area, server room, meeting room or multiple private offices. If you are not sure which option is best, we can recommend a few choices based on your budget and the space. We often help customers in Johannesburg North, Sandton and the East Rand who want a practical answer without endless back and forth.
- Split aircon supply and fit
- Inverter aircon supply and fit
- Solar aircon options
- Heat pump installation or replacement
- Atmospheric water generator supply and installation
What Changes the Price
The price depends on the size of the unit, the length of pipework, electrical work and how difficult the site is to access. A ground-floor home in Randburg is usually simpler than an upstairs flat in Midrand with limited parking and no easy route for tools. Coastal humidity is not a Johannesburg issue, but dust, heat and poor ventilation still affect performance, so we look at the actual conditions not just the brochure size.
Load-shedding also matters. Some customers want an inverter or solar option so they can keep a room comfortable when the power goes off. Others only need a standard split unit for occasional use. We will tell you what is sensible and what is not worth paying extra for.
Municipal and building rules can also change the quote. In some complexes or office parks, outdoor unit placement, noise levels and condensate drainage need approval. If you mention these upfront, we can quote with fewer surprises and less delay.
How to Send a Proper Quote Request
You can email your request to sales@acsuperstore.co.za with the subject line Request a Quote. Include your name, suburb, contact number and the details listed below. If you send everything at once, we can usually come back to you faster with a proper price and not a half answer.
- Your name and contact number
- Suburb and town, for example Sandton, Randburg or Midrand
- Room type and size
- Photos of the inside and outside areas
- What you want quoted, such as supply-and-fit, servicing or replacement
- Any access notes, parking limits or body corporate rules
If you need to recieve quotes for several rooms, list them one by one. A short note like main bedroom, study and lounge is enough, as long as each room has its own measurements and photos.
After You Send the Details
Once we have your information, we review the job and come back with the best option for your space and budget. If anything is unclear, we may ask for one or two more photos or a quick measurement. For bigger jobs, we may suggest a site survey, especially for offices, multi-room homes or properties with tricky access.
Our team in Johannesburg North handles sales, installations, service and technical support, so your request goes to people who understand the full job. Thabo Mokoena oversees the business, Naledi Khumalo handles sales, Pieter van Rensburg manages installation, Ayesha Patel coordinates service, Sibusiso Dlamini handles technical support and Lerato Molefe supports heat pump work. That means your quote is not just a price, it is backed by people who know what happens on site.
